Employment Opportunities for Talented Teachers and Staff

A rolling application process is in place for LEAP Academy University Charter School, a K-12 publicly-financed charter school. Applications for vacant 2007-08 teacher and staff positions as well as anticipated 2008-09 positions are being accepted at this time. Applications are being accepted in all areas. Applicants who wish to apply may do so by completing the LEAP Academy Employment Application.

Additionally, you will be required to upload the following to the application:

• A cover letter describing professional and personal qualifications, experience and reasons for interest in employment at LEAP Academy.

LEAP Academy University Charter School seeks the following:

• Director of Curriculum & Instruction - sought for K-12 single school district, located in two buildings. Student enrollment is 780 for the 2007-08 school year. At least five (5) years of successful teaching experience at Elementary, Middle School preferred and/or High School level. Experience in administration at various levels. New Jersey Teacher Certification, New Jersey Principals' Standard Certification or Certificate of Eligibility (CE) preferred. Responsibilities include: Curriculum development, supervision of curriculum and instruction for K-12 district, supervise and evaluate teaching performance in all curricular areas, coordinate program development, some building level responsibilities, serve as the district affirmative action officer.
