Who are we?
One of the features that make LEAP Academy a model for 21st Century urban schools is its collaborative and supportive school community.  Our faculty, staff, and school leadership work closely with parents and students to create positive outcomes and engagement in the education process.

As an urban charter school in Camden, NJ, LEAP serves students and families from an array of multicultural backgrounds and incorporates these diversities into its curriculum with bilingual education (starting as early as our preschool program) and regular school events that celebrate Latino and African-American cultures.

Strong partnerships and a family atmosphere are the result of several unique factors at LEAP.  Because we are a Pre-K–12 school, the majority of our students enroll here in elementary school and continue all the way to high school graduation.  Taken with LEAP’s small class sizes, a longer school day/ year, and after school and extracurricular involvement, students, teachers, and parents create close bonds with each other that last through their time at the school, and beyond.
