Angela Nwankpah and Viante Brewer were both recently selected to receive the SJ USBC Bowling Association: Hank Mills Educational Assistance Award Scholarship!

Angela Nwankpah and  Viante Brewer were both participants in the LEAP Early College program, and in addition to this $600 USBC scholarship they will both be taking over 20 early college credits with them when they graduate from LEAP Academy!

Angela plans to major in Biology/Pre-Medicine at Rutgers University, and Viante will major in Business Management at the Rutgers School of Business!

Angela Nwankpah has been selected as the first LEAP Academy Student of the Month to be portrayed on the Camden Vision Board! The Camden Vision Board is a monitor located in the downtown Camden business district across from City Hall, and it displays important information about upcoming community events and new stories.Angela was selected to be featured on the Camden Vision Board after maintaining a perfect 4.0 in her Early College coursework at Rutgers and Rowan University, in addition to amassing nearly 30 college and university acceptances! Angela plans to study Biology at Rutgers University.

Kilia Johnson was recently selected as a recipient of the 2018 Black Catholic Ministry Scholarship!  Each year, the Office of Black Catholic Ministries and Cultural Diversity for the Diocese of Camden selects two high school seniors to receive a $2,500 scholarship in recognition of their academic achievements and leadership qualities. Kilia Johnson, a lifelong LEAP scholar, will utilize this scholarship while attending Camden County College prior to transferring to Rutgers University.

Viante Brewer was recently selected as a recipient of the Battleship New Jersey 2018 Camden Resident Scholarship!  Each year, the Battleship New Jersey selects high school seniors to receive a $1,000 scholarships in recognition of their academic achievements and leadership qualities. Viante Brewer will utilize this scholarship while attending the Rutgers University School of Business.
